Sorry, link fixed, I was going out so didn't check the link, I was already 15 minuites late . Here is the fixed link though: http://www.modern-gamer.co.uk/FaT3oYCG%27s%20Question%20Time.rarI also changed the original to work. EDIT: You could also add extra screen clears and swap buffers so that the old display does not "flicker" and show what the actual answer was on the correct / wrong screen, just some suggestions. I just thought that I would prove this could be done in about 80 lines .

Are you not going to provide a link to that? how about I code that in about a quarter of the ammount of lines you used too? my tile engine is only about 8 lines how large is yours?

I was not saying that the code is bad, it was very good indeed. "Simple" in this case in nice, sorry for the misleading word.
"how about i code that in about a quarter of the ammount of lines you used too?"
sorry, i dont understand what are you talking about.
My tile engine is pretty big still, it has collision, map blit, animation , movement, camara.

Lol, I didn't take it the wrong way a simply suggested that I would probably be able to improve your code vastly too, I made that comment as you labelled yourself as an advanced coder, now I am pretty good but I wouldn't say that I was an advanced coder.
I was basically saying my code is probably smaller than yours and then asked how large yours is as you did not provide a link for me to see it you simply told me that you were on QJ, which I visited and looked at your posts.
I only saw downloads for your game (which I haven't tried), I honestly can't be bothered to download it for 2 main reasons. The first being that I don't really like the Japanese types of games like that much and the later being that I don't want to have to search through you code which may or may not be a mess.
I guess it doesn't matter though if I went around re-coding everyone's games then I would have no time to do things myself.

I think i didnt express myself correctly. I am advanced at other languages but i am catching out in Lua But anyway, ill attach here the tile engine without the crap from the game ( there are a bunch of portuguese comments, skip those xD ) You d probably re-write the entire file into a few lines but for now is the best i can do in Lua. Cya

Sorry, that is why I did not understand you fully, it should be (I am catching UP in Lua) :p. Thanks for uploading it I'll take a look , as usual I like helping people and I get bred of doing the same project all the time so if it is small enough I might make some suggestions, also if you didn't mind I could help you after I finish some of my projects if I have time but I am quite busy at the moment (MediaGrab).

Download link Changes from v1.0: - New engine - New UI - Extensible: just add your quizzes in Quiz folder and you're ready to play - And many others small changes...
